This katana was a gift to a martial arts instructor who was recently honored professionally for superlative skill in Japanese sword technique. The lapel pin is impressive. It is a well-dimensioned, substantial piece of metalworking artistry befitting the serious occasion for which it was presented---not a silly two-dimensional, flimsy, party trinket.
